Course Discriptions
The Family & Friends CPR program is for family members, friends and members of the general community who want to learn CPR but do not need a course completion card. The Family & Friends CPR program contains information on how to perform the basic skills of CPR in adults, children and infants and how to help an adult, child or infant who is choking. Heartsaver CPR and First Aid courses are for those who are required to have CPR and/or First Aid certification but are not Healthcare Providers. Courses for the workplace include Heartsaver CPR, Heartsaver AED, Heartsaver First Aid, and the new Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid.
Healthcare Provider Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. The course is intended for certified or noncertified, licensed or nonlicensed healthcare professionals. (description from the American Heart Association Website.)
