The Jeffersontown Fire Training Bureau is lead by Major Sean Dreisbach, 3304, a 20 year veteran of the JFPD. Major Driesbach is also committed to many of the county fire service special teams. Major Dreisbach serves as a Logistics Officer for the Swift Water Rescue Team. Dreisbach also serves as a Team Leader on the MSAR Team. Click Here to contact the JFPD Training Division.

The Kentucky Regional Fire Academy is the fruit of nine fire departments vision of excellence. The Training Academy consists of 75 acres centrally located in Southeastern Jefferson County at 11605 Fairmount Road. The facility has several training props including 3 story burn building, a flashover container prop, a ventilation prop, trench rescue prop, confined space prop, and an extrication pad. .
