What should I do if I smell gas in my home?
If you smell gas in your home, immediately evacuate and call 911. Do not use any electrical devices, turn on/off lights, or attempt to locate the source.
2
How often should I replace my smoke detectors?
Smoke detectors should be replaced every 10 years and tested every month. We recommend testing your smoke detectors routinely on the same day you pay your mortgage/rent and changing batteries when you change your clocks!
3
Do you offer assistance with changing smoke detectors?
We do! You may contact any personnel in the fire prevention division (contact info on the left) and they will happily provide you with replacement smoke detectors and/or replace them for you!

Who do I contact for review of new construction plans?
The Fire Marshal, Major Tom Carroll, will be your point of contact for building plans. You may contact him by phone during the week from 8AM to 4PM or any time by email.
